Welcome to Elk Horn Bank & Trust Company. For your convenience, we have six locations in Arkadelphia, Caddo Valley, Malvern, and Bismarck, Arkansas in addition to ATM locations and the World Wide Web. The technical advances that continue to enhance the information systems available to an ever-changing world economy have moved far beyond the simple vision of our bank's founders. These men wished to provide a safe haven for the hard-earned monies of the townspeople of a small southwest Arkansas village from which they could finance opportunities for growth. While simple, that vision of S.R. McNutt and John N. Stuart that became Elk Horn Bank in the spring of 1884 is still intact. Throughout its 120-year history, Elk Horn Bank has played a leading role in the economic development of its communities. Local ownership and control has fostered this dedication to community development. This mission took on an expanded commitment in 1988 when the newly chartered Southern Development Bancorporation acquired Elk Horn Bank and established it as Arkansas' first community development bank with a goal of spurring growth in rural southern and eastern Arkansas counties where economic vitality is waning.
